Frequently Asked Questions
How do I create a tournament?
Tap the + button on the home screen, choose the number of participants and a naming mode (manual names or colors), then tap Start.
How do I record a match result?
Tap any match in the bracket or match list. A sheet will appear where you can select the winner and optionally record a score.
Can I change a result after setting it?
Yes. Tap the match again and select a different winner. If the winner has already advanced to a later round, you'll be asked to confirm — subsequent rounds will need to be re-played manually.
What is the third-place match?
When enabled (requires 4+ participants), the two semi-final losers play an extra match to determine 3rd and 4th place. Toggle it on in the tournament creation screen.
Can I play with teams?
Yes. When creating a joinable tournament, choose Doubles, Trios, 5-a-Side, or a custom team size. As people join the lobby, the app assembles the teams in order, and you can rename any team before locking the bracket.
How do I start a rematch?
On a finished tournament, swipe left on it in the tournament list and tap Rematch. A new tournament with the same participants will be set up.
How do I delete a tournament?
Swipe left on the tournament in the list and tap Delete, or open the tournament and use the delete option in the menu.
Is my data stored in the cloud?
By default, no — tournaments are stored locally on your device. This changes only if you choose to share a tournament or join someone else's: that tournament's data (names, settings, and results) then syncs through Firebase so all participants and spectators stay in sync. See our Privacy Policy for details.
How do I invite people to a tournament?
Open the tournament's lobby and share its QR code or link. Anyone you share it with can join from their own device, or watch it live.
How do I join someone's tournament?
Scan the QR code they show you, or open the link they send. Scanning a code uses your camera; opening a link works without it.
Why does the app ask for camera access?
Only to scan a tournament's join QR code. Nothing is photographed, recorded, or uploaded — the camera is used solely to read the code. You can decline and join via a link instead.
Can I watch a tournament that has already started?
Yes. If you scan or open a tournament's link after the bracket is locked or the tournament has finished, you'll join in read-only Watch mode and see the bracket update live.
What is presentation mode?
A full-screen, read-only view of the bracket designed for an iPad propped up at the venue. Taps are disabled so passersby can't change results, and the screen stays awake while it's showing. Open it from the TV icon in a tournament's toolbar.
How do I report an inappropriate tournament?
When viewing a shared tournament, use the Report option and choose a reason (offensive name, inappropriate, spam, or other). You can also remove the tournament from your own device. Reports are sent to us for review.
How do I remove ads?
Tap the Remove Ads button inside a tournament to watch a short rewarded video and remove ads for that tournament session.
